This a/c saw combat in Vietnam in the late 1960s. It was assigned to the US Army Precision Demonstration Team Silver Eagles from 1972 - 1975. The Silver Eagles were based at Ft. Rucker, Alabama and performed around the country. The team pilots were picked from the flight instructor cadre at Ft. Rucker. It is marked as the team leader a/c with the number 1 on the vertical fin.
