Faux C-121C on display at the AMC Museum with fake serial 40315. The fake registration was the result of the painter using a photo of C-121C 54-153 to purchase his stencils. Not wanting to have the same serial number as 54-153, which is currently on display at Charleston AFB, the museum decided to use a fake serial number. A valid C-121C serial number was used when the aircraft was repainted a few years after this photos was taken. This photo is copyright © Ralph M.
