Construction began on this all-wood Zlín XII replica in early 2018 and the finished aircraft completed its first flight on Sunday, August 16, 2020. The project team used documentation about the original aircraft from the archives of the Military History Institute that is responsible for governance of the Letecké Muzeum Kbely. The plane carries the number '149' on the nose, however, the real Zlín XII of this serial number was produced in 1937 as the 49th plane of the type. It flew as OK-IPS with the Aeroclub of the Czechoslovak Republic and later with the Slovak Air Corps as OK-NAU. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
