As with most of the museums aircraft this one is flown from time to time.

The Zlín Z-XII was a Czechoslovak single-engine, low-wing sports and training two-seater, of wooden construction from the mid-1930s of which more than 200 examples went on to be produced. The first prototype (cn 101, OK-BTA) first flew in April 1935 and this plane, now on display in the very interesting Museum of Southeast Moravia, is on display in the colours of the second prototype. The real second prototype was heavily damaged in September 1935 in Brno during the National Flight of the Czechoslovak Republic and probably did not fly after that.

Construction began on this all-wood Zlín XII replica in early 2018 and the finished aircraft completed its first flight on Sunday, August 16, 2020. This amazing reproduction (see picture #377627) is part of the Letecké Muzeum Metoděje Vlacha and perfomed a wonderful display at this super show. It is pictured taxyiing out for departure, presumably, back to Mladá Boleslav (LKMB).

Construction began on this all-wood Zlín XII replica in early 2018 and the finished aircraft completed its first flight on Sunday, August 16, 2020. The project team used documentation about the original aircraft from the archives of the Military History Institute that is responsible for governance of the Letecké Muzeum Kbely. The plane carries the number '149' on the nose, however, the real Zlín XII of this serial number was produced in 1937 as the 49th plane of the type. It flew as OK-IPS with the Aeroclub of the Czechoslovak Republic and later with the Slovak Air Corps as OK-NAU.

The Zlín Z-XII was a pre-WWII, Czechoslovak two-seat sports aircraft, of which around 250 frames were produced. This example is on display at the Letecké Muzeum Kbely.
