Race modified F8F-2 Bureau Number 121646 owned by Mr. Darryl Greenamyer. This a/c, with Greenamyer flying, won six unlimited race championships. On 16 August 1969 Greenamyer set a speed record for piston engine aircraft of 483 MPH (777 KM/HR) using this a/c. Mr. Greenamyer donated N1111L to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in 1977, where it is on display.
