Built as L-28 62-5918 (later designated U-10A , upgraded to a U-10B) for the US Air Force. Withdrawn by 1971 and stored at Davis Monthan, the aircraft was acquired by JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Service) circa 1977. JAARS is a non-profit organization providing support for Bible translation around the world, often in remote areas. They regularly fly this aircraft to various airshows for promotional work.
