This aircraft was built for the British Army Air Corps, serial XK406, and delivered 26 July 1956. Afer Army service it was auctioned at 19 MU, St Athan, on 15 October 1969: one of six purchased by Dizzy Addicott. For sale at a car dealership in Congresbury in the early 70s, XK406 found its way to Australia for restoration. Civil registered VH-XKA on 16 May 1989.
