1966: TOS USN as A-6A and assigned to VA-65, NAS Oceana, VA. 5/66 to12/66: Deployed aboard the USS Constellation for combat in South Vietnam. 12/66: VA-42, NAS Oceana. 1967: VA-35, also at Oceana. After 6/70: Converted to a KA-6D tanker. 1971: VA-115, NAS Whidbey Island, WA. Through 1990 also at Whidbey with VA-145, VA-52 at Whidbey and VA-85. VA-85 deployed aboard USS America for Operation Desert Storm from late 1990 to Spring 1991. By 11/91: National Naval Aviation Museum and stored on their ramp. 11/98: Loaned to NAS Alameda, CA for display. 10/08: On loan with the Battleship Alabama.
