Delivered to United Airlines in 1953, this Convair worked the 50s as an airliner and into the 60s and 70s as a corporate aircraft. In 1974 , Innotech Aviation modified the aircraft with high resolution radar for the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing. It would work over 35 years developing synthetic aperture radars and other remote sensors for Canada and other worldwide projects. After retiring, the aircraft became part of the Canada Space and Aviation Museum collection in 2015.
