The one (and only!) PiperJet ever built. The PA-47 was Piper's intended entry into the Very Light Jet (VLJ) market, but the project ever really took off. After a change of ownership, the project was renamed PiperJet Altaire. Although the aircraft was technically a succes, the project was cancelled ion October 2011 due to an economic downturn. The aircraft was put on display at the Florida Air Museum (at Lakeland airport) in 2012. This photo is copyright © Kas van Zonneveld, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
