This green Spook was assigned to the 704th Tactical Fighter Squadron as part of the Air Force Reserve. The squadron was inactivated on 27 September 1996, when the USAF operations at Bergstrom ended. This Phantom was retired to AMARC on 27 June 1990 and received inventory code FP520. The F-4E was removed from storage on 30 March 2006 and entered the QF-4E program via BAE Systems Mojave (CA).
