Originally 42-100931, this C-47 was rebuilt by Remmert Werner in 1956 as N56U and imported into Canada in 1957. Photographed flying for North Cariboo Flying Service without titles while still in Northern Thunderbird Air colors, the aircraft was sold to the USA in 1989 as N384CA. It is presently preserved at Lyon Aircraft Museum John Wayne airport, Santa Ana, CA in American Airlines colors as NC16005.
