Demonstrator for Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Was written off when a brake cable failed at Wau, PNG, on October 23, 1947. G-AIMC rolled backwards down the steep airfield carrying the crew of three and nine passengers with it. Wrecked but no injuries to those on board. The crew were unaware that standard practice was to park sideways to the 1 in 12 slope. Note Qantas Liberator in background.
