Ex 44-72922 with the USAAF. To private owners as N7718C, N18Y, N6803T and N577WD. Converted to a P-51R, rebuilt as a racer, modifying the aircraft with the mainplane of a Learjet 23. Became N91KD. Crashed in June 1989 after an engine failure. Damage was substantial and the registration was cancelled. Restored with original wings and tailplane of 44-72922. The restoration was completed in June 1993. Became N93TF. Crashed again in February 2003 after a spin during aerobatics. Again restored, completed by 2009.
