BuNo 1813 in flight near New York - NRAB New York was Floyd Bennett Field. This was one of 50 SBC-4s urgently sold to France in June 1940. 44 of the Helldivers were loaded on the French aircraft carrier Bearn in Halifax, having been pulled across the Canadian border at Haulton, Maine to comply with the US Neutrality Act. Upon the fall of France, Béarn put in at Martinique where the aircraft were left to rot by the Vichy administration.
