Perimeter Aviation started in 1960 as Canada's first private Instrument flight training school. Gradually adding maintenance services and charter work, the airline greatly expanded in 1976 when it took over Manitoba routes from Transair. The company added two new Metroliners in 1978, C-GYPA the first delivered in July. Perimeter would operate over forty Metros with twenty-seven of them still current at the time of uploading. Tragically, C-GYPA crashed overshooting at Shamattawa, MB on a medevac flight October 11, 2001. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
