This 'Super 27' 727 conversion was developed by Valsan Partners and involved fitting more advanced JT8D-217/219 engines to No.s 1 & 3 and hush-kitting No.2. This frame was delivered to Eastern but also flew with Mexicana and Kiwi International but is pictured wfu at Tucson International. The frame is more familiar, to those in the UK at least, as the spectacular Cougar Leasing plane G-OPMN. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
