Built in 1957 as V745D N7471 for Capital Air Lines but that fell through so it was converted to V798D and is here on delivery. In 1968 it was sold and became an executive transport with numerous owners until put on display at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in 1992 wearing Capital livery as N7471. [The negative envelope for this says 1959, but 1958 makes more sense and agrees with other sources.] This photo was added on 22 November 2021, and has since been viewed 559 times. |
