This T-39A was used by former president Lyndon Johnson from August 1968 through January 1973. It was based at Bergstrom AFB not far from his ranch. It had a special VIP interior for six passengers and three crew. After President Johnson died in 1973 the a/c continued to be used for high level government travel. Transferred to the museum in October 1984. It is on display in the Presidential Aircraft Gallery. This photo is copyright © Bob Thomas, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
