This Starfighter was delivered to the RCAF with serial 12780 on May 1, 1962 in overall natural metal (as were all CF-104s). Based at Cold Lake, AB, it missed the first overall green camouflage introduced to 1 Canadian Air Group Starfighters in 1972. Later painted in the next variegated green / gray camouflage, the fighter was transferred to CFB Baden-Soellingen in 1983 before struck off strength in 1986.
