Taken on Strength by RAF 10 Squadron on December 1, 1967, XV106 is pictured doing trooping duties for nearby army training grounds. The aircraft was converted to a C1K tanker / transport in 1994. Withdrawn at Bruntingthorpe on November 7, 2012, it was scrapped in 2012, the fuselage and cockpit stored. In 2016, the nose section was moved to Woodford for display in the Avro Heritage Museum.
