17 Jan 1974: TOS USMC as an AV-8A and assigned to Marine Attack Squadron 513 (VMA-513), MCAS Yuma, AZ. 1982: Upgraded to AV-8C and then assigned to VMA-231, MCAS Cherry Point, NC, aboard USS Nassau (LHA-4). It was later transferred back to VMA-513 aboard USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7) and later on USS Tarawa (LHA1). By 11/88: AMARC, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ as 7A038.
