Do 18 civil prototype, presumably photographed near the factory on Lake Constance. Named Aeolus by Lufthansa, the mailplane was catapulted by a DLH vessel off Horta, Azores and flew to Bermuda on 11 September 1936, continuing to New York the next day. Lost in July 1937 after an emergency landing in the Atlantic due to engine trouble. This photo was added on 17 December 2021, and has since been viewed 539 times. |
