In 1972 British Midland Airways bought the entire South African Airways Viscount fleet including spare parts and a simulator. This is the former ZS-CDZ captured at then Jan Smuts International still in the basic SAA livery but without titles. It carries the registration G-AZLW. This registration was reserved but not taken. ZS-CDZ became G-AZNC. G-AZLW was a former Aerolinas Argentinas Comet 4 that Dan-Air bought for spares. This photo was added on 31 December 2021, and has since been viewed 296 times. |
