A gate guard at this base since 1965 (!) and slowly becoming hidden behind the shrubberies around the officers' mess, for viewers outside the fence. The Streak started with the USAF in February 1955 as 52-6737 and joined the Luftwaffe in June 1959, where it was DD344. Preserved here after a year of storage, with a doubly fake identity, as the tail mentions serial 51-1665. That one crashed in 1954.
