This aircraft was built in 1944 as an L-4H Grasshopper, serial 44-79595. It was shipped to New Guinea where it saw operational service, finishing up at Tacloban, Philippines, where it was disposed of on 3 March 1946. It became RP-C168, later PI-C168. Imported into Australia and registered VH-LIV (get it?) on 21 March 1988. Marked as an L-4 operated by 4 Squadron RAAF. Transferred to RAAus registration on 4 May 2006.
