The second Auster operated by Southend-based Rochford Hundred Flying Group. The primer on the rear fuselage had been applied following repairs necessitated by a ground-loop on landing at Southend. The aircraft was written-off in a non-fatal crash in the Jura Mountains above Chézery, France on 10th August 1972 while en route from Geneva to Macon. It was cancelled from the UK Register as 'destroyed' on 3rd October 1972.
