One of twelve F-104s temporarily deployed to Taiwan during the 1958 Quemoy Crisis. They were flown in C-124 Globemasters and re-assembled in Taiwan for Operation "Jonah Able" (returned to USA in 1959). Retired to MASDC Dec 4, 1967, the fighter was re-activated for the Royal Jordanian AF as 919 in 1969. After 1977, it was the gate guard at King Hussein Air College, Mafraq AB. Pictured at it's new location at Alexandria, LA, in USAF markings. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
