During runway re-surfacing at their home base Lechfeld, the whole fleet of ECM HFB-320s was operating from neighbouring Fürsty airbase in the summer of 1982. 1621, the oldest of a fleet of eight HFB-320 in the ECM version, flew from 1975 until 1995 before being sold as N322AF.
