This CAC-built Kiowa woks past an unloading Galaxy to commence an air-test after re-assembly. This helo is currently with 162 Reconnaissance Squadron and was one of four flown in from Townsville in an RAAF C-17 for the Australian International Airshow. It was delivered in 1973 and used for Kiowa camouflage trials by 171 Command and Liason Squadron during 1979-80, painted in a dark matt olive drab scheme. It's currently in the standard Army aircraft scheme, which was adjudged the most effective. This photo is copyright © Phil Vabre, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
