This former Netherlands Navy Neptune (ex 096 / 19-31) was acquired by Portugal in 1960, and was struck off charge in 1978. It was then stored at Sintra on behalf of the museum. When the Museu do Ar moved its main display location from Alverca to Sintra in 2009/2010, this Neptune was restored and placed on outdoor display there.
