This aircraft had crashed on take-off a week earlier, on 17 July 1965. A memorable visit to Stapleford on 24 July 1965, with the wrecked Meta Sokol still lying on the Western boundary and Tiger Moth G-AOEI inverted in the centre of the airfield.
