This aircraft had crashed on take-off a week earlier, on 17 July 1965. A memorable visit to Stapleford on 24 July 1965, with the wrecked Meta Sokol still lying on the Western boundary and Tiger Moth G-AOEI inverted in the centre of the airfield. G-APWV was cancelled from the register on 20 August 1965 as 'Destroyed'.

Converted to a stretched CL-44J in late 1965. Sold to Cargolux and converted to all-cargo in 1971.

N801D was withdrawn from use in 1966.

N91327 was cancelled in 2000.

N7075 was one of only five -200 series 707s. They combined the short fuselage of 100 series with the JT4A engines of the longer, heavier 300 series to tackle the hot and high airports of Braniff's South American network.

The stained glass facade of American's terminal was designed by Robert Sowers and installed in 1960. The terminal is now gone and the glass has been "repurposed".
