7 Sep '83: First flight. 3 Oct '83: TOS USAF as A-10A and assigned to the 76th Tactical Fighter Squadron/23rd Tactical Fighter Wing, England AFB, LA. 1987: Modified to OA-10A. August/90 to March/91: Deployed to King Fahd Airport Saudi Arabia for combat in Operation Desert Storm. By November/98 to after 2016: 303rd Fighter Squadron/442nd Fighter Wing (AFRC), Whiteman AFB, MO. 2007: Converted to A-10C.
