Snowbird Tutor is pictured in the first version of their colorful scheme introduced in 1974. In 1977, it would change slightly when antenna would be added to be able to utilize civilian nav-aids. The flag would move lower on the fin to accommodate TACAN / VOR antennas and the serial would move to the fuselage. The clear nose lens would also become pointed to fit a glide slope antenna. A spare aircraft for 1976, 114003 carries the first commemorative tail marking by the team for the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics. It went on display at the Canadian Museum of Flight in Langley, BC circa 2006. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
