This King Air 350 is operated by 173 Surveillance Squadron at Oakey, Qld., and was at Essendon in support of the recent Victorian bushfires. Note the redback spider underneath the side window - the unit's callsign is 'Redback'. This aircraft was registered to manufacturer Raytheon as N6139Z 1 March 2005, but soon afterwards exported to Australia where it was registered to the distributor, Hawker Pacific, as VH-ZHP on 25 August that year. A year later it was transferred to the military Register and its civil registration was cancelled on 4 August 2006.
