Built in 1958 as N8717D and imported into the UK by Shackleton Aviation in 1960. On 21 January 1978, under different ownership, it was wrecked when it crash-landed and struck a stone wall at Horwich, Lancashire. [The person taking a close look at the other side may be looking for traces of the previous registration. We used to do that as schoolboy spotters until deciding it was unethical to log them as sightings.] This photo was added on 12 April 2022, and has since been viewed 237 times. |
