Built for the USAAF as P-51D 44-84864. Transferred to the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), who operated the a/c from August 1945 through July 1957. NACA added the tall fin modification. The a/c has been owned by Mr. M.E, Coutches/American Aircraft Sales LLC from 1969 to present.
