Airlift Northwest was set up by the University of Washington School of Medicine and Harborview Medical Center to provide helicopter and fixed wing transport for patients needing intensive medical care in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Air Methods provide the pilots, mechanics and aircraft. N139AM wears new UW purple and gold that replaces Airlift Northwest's earlier red, white and black.
