The prototype Boeing 777 pulls up at the gate in Melbourne at the start of a demonstration visit to Ansett and Qantas, the first arrival in Australia by this aircraft type. The aircraft had arrived from Langkawi. It conducted several demonstration flights on December 8 & 9 before flying to Sydney on 9 December. It then departed Sydney for Auckland on 11 December.
