This 1979 Airbus A310 was delivered to Thai Airways on September 6th as TS-TGR. Re-registered HS-THR, the old registration (previously used on a DC-8) was later applied on a 747-400. Sold to DHL in December 1999, the aircraft was converted to a freighter by July for DHL Airways. After DHL was sold to Deutsche Post, the airline division was was sold to American investors and renamed Astar Air Cargo in July 2003, continuing to operate for DHL Express.
