The last Do 24K, or 'X-boat', in Dutch service, X-24 was based in Australia in 1942-43 and used by the Netherlands secret service for flights into Dutch colonial outposts not occupied by the Japanese. Note that this is not the real X-24, it is in fact one of the German Do 24Ts given to Spain in 1944, having different engines and guns. It last operated with them as HD.5-1. It is also widely quoted as c/n 5294, but that is its fuselage number. Its actual Dornier Werknummer is 3387.
