K25 slide scan. Built 1953 as KC-97G 52-2761 for USAF, later redesignated KC-97L, retired to MASDC 1977. Dross Metals N29862 1982, Hawkins and Powers 1982. Initially remained at Tucson, flown to Greybull in 1992 and placed in further store. Intended as spares ship for restoration of N1365N by 2006. Aircraft still keeps its auxiliary General Electric J-47 Turbojets. Apart from N1365D the remaining Strats had been put out to grass by 1995, left to right N29862, N29866, N972HP, N97HP, N97KC, N397HP, N497HP.
