slide scan from the NK collection. - The VIP-passenger's name is applied to the front of this 1959-built Caravelle, which was definitely not in use as an airliner for scheduled traffic. A few years later, Bokassa crowned himself emperor, and with support from France he even received a second Caravelle. - TL-AAI was put into storage at Paris-Orly and was scrapped in 1983. This photo was added on 6 June 2022, and has since been viewed 553 times. |
