Built to a 1942 USAAF order as a PT-13D, serial 42-17630. Post-war, civilianised as an ag-Stearman, registered N58982 to Reeder Flying Service, Twin Falls, Idaho. Re-registered in Australia as VH-JQY on 11 December 1990. Seen here departing after being on static display at the Australian International Airshow.
