Unlike most Australian Austers, this one is a fairly recent import. It was built in 1957 and initially was used as a crop sprayer with the identity G-APCY. In 1961 it went to Nigeria as VR-NDQ, immediately changed to 5N-ACX due to independence. Returned to the UK 1962 and with Airlines Flying Club, Blackbushe, 66-68 where it acquired the British Eagle colours that it still wears. Crashed in Thailand '75 on attempted ferry to Australia. Rebuilt and became VH-PCY.
