Built in 2022 and put on the swiss register on May 11, 2022, this five bladed H145 is the latest addition to REGA's fleet, and the first of nine ordered. It was only in 2018 when REGA started to introduce seven BK117D-2 (with four Main Rotor Blades), planning to modify them to the latest D-3 model eventually. In 2021, REGA decided to get new helis instead, apparently because the modification kits were not availability in due time. The D-3 has a MTOW of 3'800 kg, just 100 kg more than the D-2.
