52-166 nears the end of its ferry flight from China Lake to the Castle AFB museum. The flight was conducted gear down because the aircraft had been stored in the open for 20 years and was in poor condition. The flight took 43 minutes during which the B-47 suffered multiple equipment failures. It is now preserved.
