Right main gear would not deploy. Substantial damage. Aircraft repaired and eventually scrapped in Cameroon as TJ-ACE. The belly landing took place on Rwy 24, the new jet-length Rwy 06/24 having been built in 1960. The new Schiphol airport opened towards the left side of the photo in 1967. Note: Devon XJ350 at the Aviodrome in Lelystad is painted as PH-MAD. Photo from: Nationaal Archief (Netherlands) This photo was added on 6 August 2022, and has since been viewed 492 times. |
