Built for the RAF as a Taylorcraft Auster AOP 5, TW498. Civilianised in the UK as an Auster 5, G-AMFT, in October 1950. Registered in Australia as VH-ARX on 20 November 1950. It's since been converted with a Gipsy Major, that and the small rudder making it an Auster 5C. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.
